Hanoi was the last stop on my two week tour of Vietnam, and it was one of my favourite cities of the trip. It felt much smaller and calmer than Ho Chi Minh City, but some of this feeling could be attributed to the fact we had become much more used to the culture and people of Vietnam. Hanoi consists of narrow busy streets, full of vendors selling goods; each street is assigned to a certain product which makes shopping easy! There are also many cultural attractions in Hanoi, including the mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh, the ‘Hanoi Hilton’ prison, and the unique water puppet theatre, which really has to be seen to be believed….
Below are a few of my favourite photographs from the city.
